# Midterm - Movie App

# Objectives

Apply all the User Interface knowledge and assets created so far to put together a full app design that will be coded in your other classes of the MADD program. Presenting your design is a necessary step of your midterm delivery.

# Instructions

This midterm is a web application that resizes on different screens and not a native mobile app tied to a specific platform.

  1. Paper Prototype:: Start by visualizing and designing your Movie app on paper before using a design software. Plan all the required screens, user flow, navigation and elements you need. The pages required for this assignment include:
    1. Home screen
    2. Search results screen with cards representing each movie item.
    3. Movie detail screen with full movie details.
    4. An Error screen, 404 or more.
    5. Favorites screen.

  1. Create your Interface Design:: Use Figma to create the pages you need and the interface elements required on every page. Leverage the design system and assets previously created. Conduct comparative research to guide your aesthetic choices and create a visually appealing accessible interface.

  2. Responsive Design: Demonstrate how your search results screen will behave responsively on:

  • Desktop
  • Tablet
  • Mobile You can choose any screen size for your responsive frames, no platform specification is required at this stage.
  1. Connect your design in a prototype: For your final presentation, connect the mobile screen in a prototype to demonstrate the user flow. A mobile prototype is required to be complete, other responsive designs need not be in a prototype.

  2. Prepare your presentation: Create presentation slides in Figma for your midterm. The slides should guide your presentation's talking points and link to your demo prototype.

  • Craft a 3-4 minute presentation: Highlight key aspects of your design, focusing on a realistic usage scenario and essential app flow.
  • Rehearse: Practice your presentation to ensure clarity, timing, and preparedness for Q&A.
  1. Present your work:
